It Breaking News! Pirate Bay Sold for a Price of 7.8 Million Dollars!

Today Global Gaming Factory X AB has taken over the All-time Controversial Pirate bay for a Price of just 7.8 Million Dollars.

According to me the Price is Very, verly low as compared to the actual popularity of the Site. The News has Been Confirmed at Pirate Bay and the question is, why is the price so low? I can’t think of any answer right now!

We were Too sure about this news Earlier especially after their last Post Title “TPB might Change it’s owner”. Well, were not shocked at this news but we are surely shocked with the price!

Another Question that arises. Will Pirate Bay Change how it works? When we asked the Ex-Owner , the answers we get are -

The profits from the sale will go into a foundation that is going to help with projects about freedom of speech, freedom of information and the openess of the nets. I hope everybody will help out in that and realize that this is the best option for all. Don’t worry – be happy!

The Pirate Bay is a site that is among the top 100 most visited Internet sites in the world. However, in order to live on, The Pirate Bay requires a new business model, which satisfies the requirements and needs of all parties, content providers, broadband operators, end users, and the judiciary. Content creators and providers need to control their content and get paid for it. File sharers’ need faster downloads and better quality

But the main question out of this whole TakeOver is that Will Pirate Bay change or not? Well, assuming what the New Ceo said it might happen Soon. But let’s Keep our finger’s crossed for some Good news!


No. of Palm Pre’s Sold in June? An amazing 300,000!

Well, Charter Equity Research Reports that Palm Has sold Over 300,000 Palm Pre handsets on June. This number is quite higher than the one in May which was 70,000.

You may wan’t to know how did they gather the Results? Just called some of the guy’s in business and found that over 300,000 units were sold.

The reason for the numbers being low is because the Company was not much sure about the demand and because of that it just had 120,000 units ready at the time of launch which were sold in no time.

The company also says that It’s capable of producing upto 15,000 Pre’s daily and will ship like a Million phones to Sprint in the quarter of it’s first production. Good Numbers which might seem challenging to the iPhone later!

Gmail attachment size increased

Good news guys, specially all of those who use Gmail, the news is that the maximum attachment size for Gmail has been increased from 20 MB to 25 MB. This is what Google said in this regard:

With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size. Please note that you may not be able to send larger attachments to contacts who use other email services with smaller attachment limits. If your attachment bounces, you should invite them to Gmail

Iphone 3GS Still survives after a Great fall into the Swimming Pool!

Well i am one of those Crazy iPhone fans but i never knew one thing about the iPhone, That after throwing it into a pool it will still work!! Well I am sure my cellphone won’t but yes, The iPhone 3Gs does. After the Break there’s a Video which shows how an iPhone slips into the Pool and then later finds that it’s still rolling. No one is sure wether it is Completely True or Fake but without thinking that, Enjoy!

One of the Commentor Also stated what we should do if this happens if we want it to work perfectly. Here it is! -

If this happens to you, take it out of the water as quickly as possible, do not press any burrons, turn it off, or any of that – get some uncooked rice and a ziploc bag, fill the ziploc up half way with the uncooked rice, place your phone inside the bag, fill the rest of the bag with rice
This will suck the moisture out of your phone overnight and has worked for everyone I know who has tried it

Google announces account recovery via SMS option

Google has announced a new option for account recovery: Account Recovery via SMS. Via this option, users can get the recovery code for their account (to which access has been lost for some reason) through SMS. To utilize this option users are required to perform the following steps:

  1. Sign in to your Google account
  2. Select the Change Password Recovery Options
  3. Provide your mobile number and account password
  4. Click Save

Once done, now you will get your account recovery code via SMS in case you are unable to access your Google account for whatever reason.

Youtube mobile uploads shoot up 400% : But was it too late for Apple?

Not even a week had passed and Apple had completed the sale of their 1 millionth iPhone 3GS. But with that the new feature that came in was Video Recording. With the help of it’s 3 Megapixel Camera and Features like AutoFocus iPhone users are tremendously contributing to youtube. 

Is it Good or Bad for youtube? Only time will tell, when the revenues are out but for know this seems to be a good news. But the main question is here that is apple too late with the Video Recording feature? The Earlier Generations lacked the capability of Video recording. But then It’s never too late as Apple decided to finally provide users with this feature. If the earlier generation would have been equipped with Video Recording capabilities then the Growth of YouTube would have doubled with the amount of iPhone’s sold till date.

Ad wars are going around everywhere,  may it be between Pepsi and Coke or Apple and Microsoft. But one thing is clear that this war between Sprint and AT&T for the iPhone and Palm pre is different than these normal ones.

In this Ad, Sprint tells that you can’t run applications in the background but with the Palm Pre you can. Also you can save upto $1200 by switching over to the Palm Pre. Now i am loving this.

Twitter’s growth is incredible with over 37 million unique visitors Recorded this month. But when it comes to monetizing twitters thinking a lot over it. 

But the news right now is that Right now i saw a text box near the dashboard which i think may mark the starting of monetization of twitter! Well i am not sure about it but Will keep you updated about this. For now Have a look!
