Let’s go through some of the tools i use.

Huitter.com : I don’t use this tool but i have heard a lot about this tool. This tool is for evil people. What this tool does is that It deletes people whom you follow but they don’t follow you. I can’t figure out what will be the advantage but since it has already unfollowed 315859 users then someone might be using it :) But for sure Barack Obama does not use it!

Tweepme.com : This another Great app for twitter which is moreover like a Follow COmmunity where people follow the members of the website. Now here everyone benefit, the people whom you follow And the people who follow you. But the sad news is that now it is a paid service but earlier it was free for the first 1000 members!

Twollow.com : The specialty of this tools is that this App can follow people on twitter by matching them to your interests. How you do it? Just login and add certain Key words. Then twollow will look up for people using the Keywords and automatically follow them. And By this method you get to know so many people who share the same interest as you and you also don’t need to do the hard work of finding them!

TwitterFeed.com : This app does not have a Direct Effect but it does have an effect of your follower Number. It goes like this –> when some tweets get published via Rss feeds which contain interesting links, they get ReTweeted and then Retweeted and then Retweeted. And if this cycle goes on you tweets may reach over 10,000 followers and so on and when they reach so many people many people would like to follow you!

But remember that the follower number do not matter but what matters are your tweets. Stay clean with them and your follower numbers will automatically increase!

Why twitter won't have Ads!

In my Recent post i wrote about how twitter could be monetized. But I got strong opposition from Vihesh who said that this could not be possible. At this time you can’t predict anything but we need to wait and see. But for now twitter has started putting Free ads for Twitter Applications on Every Profile Page for users who have logged in.

Here’s what he said -

I can bet, Twitter's never gonna integrate ads into their page. Not even the buying slots in the suggested followers list is a long lasting part, and is definitely not a part of their planned business plan. It's silly to even expect twitter to get ads. One, they don't have a standard ad network they can use (please don't say say google ads, with the rife between them ,they're is not a chance in the world twitter ever collaborates especially with google), and also because the day they include ads, they very well know that the rate at which their usage will drop, might be faster than the pickup rate. Ppl never realize how much they hate ads, but they really do. That's why yahoo fails in front of Gmail. Also, I can once more bet, that Twitter's business model is gonna be way more stable and trust worthy, and exploiting its stickiness through apps, rather than visiting the site. Cause if they planned to monetize through ads, they would never have released an API and allowed different apps to spring up.
Take my word, kill me if ads come on Twitter, at any point of time. :D

Gmail is drowning while twitter and facebook are Growing!

Social networking are booming at the fastest rate ever. I should ask you this question now, How many times do you login to check your mail and compare the number to how many times you login in to your twitter/facebook account.

Do you see a huge difference? Now that’s what is happening all around the world. Social Media is talking over the old email thingy. Recently a survey conducted by a research company also showed that people have found it more convenient to stay in touch with the world by using Social networking websites rather than using E-mails.

Twitter is Transforming into a link Sharing Tool : Digg, Stumbleupon better get ready!

I don't know if many people know this or not but the true fact is that Twitter which was meant for Posting your personal Updates is now slowly transforming into a link house. 

So here's what i did To prove that Twitter is becoming morever becoming a link-sharing tool.

What i did :

1.) I opened the twitter's public timeline and observed. I found that every 3rd tweet has a link. I refreshed the page more than 60 times so all the time i saw new tweets from new tweepl.

2.) I went to Twitter Search and searched for http and the results i got were amazing. And with what speed they were updated were zooom..... More than 3100 Link Updates per 30 seconds. You yourself can try but you will find that the number will be different because of the time zones all over the world.

The Fact is true. I think that people are forgetting that twitters actual purpose is for people to post their Personal updates. Well, posting links is not wrong but i think that twitter may replace Stumbleupon, Digg , Reddit and others in Future.

Facebook to Soon lift Friend limits : Soon you can make unlimited Friends on Facebook!

Facebook, one of the fastest Growing Social Networks has a Friend Limit (if you know). It says that any user cannot have more than 5000 friends. Now The reason behind this is unclear. May be it's because they don't want people to spam. Twitter also has a limit of 2000 Follows and this limit can only be lifted if you have 2000 people following you.

Now what's the news is that recently Mark Zuckerberg (the guy behind Facebook) had posted a status which clearly stated that Soon Facebook users can add unlimited friends. This is not confirmed but this may be a possibility in near Future. This would give another boost to Facebook and then people especially companies will use Facebook as a marketing tool if they can make unlimited friends.

What Might Happen If Google Overtakes Twitter?

I know Google And twitter both are growing at an amazing rate. So what will happen if Google Overtakes Twitter? I don’t know if this may happen or not but here are some possibilities after Google Overtakes Twitter (you might Find some of these Funny so give it a laugh and share it with others too!).

Twitter has become one of the biggest social networking platform in the world and therefore more and more companies might want to overtake it but only time will tell us what happens………

• Like all other services Google will Make all the things free (even the Sms Tweeting)
• Google Will monetize the search with Adsense
• People will have to transfer their account to Google Accounts and in this process they might lose Followers………….(just like what happened when people migrated from Feedburner to Google)
• Google will Change the twitter name to “Twoogle” 
• Google Will Change Twitters Logo
• Google Will make twitter accounts a saleable commodity (via Google Product Search)
• It will only Allow you to put  Google Search Links in your tweets
• People will need to have a Gmail account in order to Join Twitter

Why did Facebook Change their TOS?

Recently Facebook was in the news for Just secretly changed it’s Terms of Service. Actually the thing i found funny the most was that the change was actually useless. Facebook had made a change that anyone who would post any info on facebook , the information would become the property of Facebook even after you delete your Account.

I actually can’t figure out what was the reason behind changing the Tos.  May be because Twitter Was gaining all the attention so May be facebook had become desperate for some more users?

I think so one thing that advantageous for Facebook was that we all know this is the era of blogs and so there are thousands on Enthusiastic Blogger’s waiting to Publish A story so taking advantage of that Facebook was possible in gaining attention of people. But by Monday Facebook finally reverted to its old Tos.

Well today you need to be very careful with every one word you post online as you are not aware of the audience who might read it or to he might put it to what use.

Segregating things may help you a lot like first decide do you want to increase Feed Subscribers? If yes then concentrate on itself only. And also make sure that your visitors get something with it like offering a free E-Book with every subscription will do.
• If you want to increase Product sales concentrate on Targeting. Who shall buy your products. Suppose if they are Teen’s who you want to buy products do it the teen style. Like if you want to sell a computer make sure you “Highlight” those things which like for example Music, one of the major things with which they may get easily attracted. Also try giving few softwares to them for free like a DJ software.

Sometimes is not just a picture what it takes to get Attention. Like Suppose you use facebook Create an Application where A user will have to play Games, Invite People and that’s it. He will get A special discount package. That’s it. Even if 10 people use it and 2 end up buying it you have made it. And what about the people they invite? It will keep on multiplying……

Also incase of twitter find out on what base is the social networking website made. If its made on the base of a 140 Characters Text then your marketing style should change to the 140 Character one. Use words like money, especially here. Like for example you want to sell a particular T-Shirt designed by You make sure when you tweet about it You highlight the words which differentiate you from the rest like for me i would use “A t-Shirt Designed by a 13- yr old”. Also try offering special Discounts to those who retweet your tweet.

Now after you gain attention and when someone reaches your page now the toughest task is to keep your customer on your page. This can be achieved by simple means. Lets see - 

• Presentation is the King – Make sure your design matches with the Social networking website from whom the customer is coming. Like suppose try making a page which is only meant for people coming from facebook.
• Don’t be a stranger – Introduce yourself to the Customer via the means of Photographs and other simple text.
• Uniqueness it the key – 80% of your products success depends upon it’s marketing. But the 20% also does matter. If they Product has nothing in it the hollow 80% effort won’t work out. And in order for a Product should work it should have 2 of the qualities. Either you need to be the “ONLY” or you need to be the “BEST”. That’s how success is made.

I am no master in Making products but I know this simple formulae.

Create Your Own Social Networking Website in 90 minutes just like Facebook

Yes. I am not joking! You can make a social networking very easily! Its very simple! Follow my simple steps and then you are another Mark Zuckerberg! One extra feature will also be there that your users can create thier own blogs too! The best thing is that you can even make some good money out of it by monetizing it with Adsense!

Here's what you need to do.

1.  Buy some hosting Space with Php enabled and  database support or use a free hosting like tyreus.com.

2. This step is the most important. You need to download Wordpress Mu from mu.wordpress.org and after you do that extract the components in your hosting panel. You need to install it on your web-server. read my post on How to install Wordpress Mu. 

3. After having intalled it's time to make the real thing. Go to www.buddypress.org and download buddypress combo.

4. After downloading it now go to your host control panel and got to file manager or if you use ftp it will be much easier. Now having logged in go to Wordpress installtion folder >> WP content >> Mu-Plugins >> and then upload all the files except the BUddypress theme. Now extract the contents.

5. Now go to Wordpress installtion folder >> WP content >> Themes >> and upload the Buddypress theme over there. But wait more's left. Now after doing it extract the files and open the file. You will file two folders. One with BUddypress- theme and other member theme. Now move the member themes to Wp-Content folder. Now login as administrator. 

6. Go to site Admin and keep registrations on. Thats it! You have made it!
