A single ad on Twitter Homepage for one day is worth 500,000 dollars

twitter-art

Twitter has been offered $500,00 only if it could host a banner ad on it’s homepage for 24 hours. Who is rich one to pay so much? It’s uSocial, a company which focuses on Social Media Marketing.

The Ceo of uSocial said,

While $500,000 may seem like a large amount to invest in one banner for one day, we believe that the investment will be more than worth it,

There has been no response from twitter, back on wether this is a deal or no-deal. But,  twitter founders tell that, their focus should be on developing technology and improving twitter and if they would shift their focus to generating revenue, that would be a mistake.

Twitters, Got a different plan in mind, they hope on charging people and brands using twitter for commercial purpose. $500,000 is a whole lot of money and 24 hours is not much time. Let’s See if twitter approves it or not. Any Ideas, Suggestions list them down in the comments!

Going Google : Over 60% companies of Fortune 100 have gone Google

Picture 3Google’s New Ad Campaign, Going Google has been launched as a move to give their competitors real fear, especially Microsoft, and this time also, they are targeting large scale companies to shift from their current infrastructure to Google. Well, thats what Going Google is.

Today, one ad just caught my eye. It said,

Over 60% of the U.S State governments have gone Google

This clears it up that Google wants to make up new user base by displaying of their current and at times this trick is successful and to support this the Ad Landing page has been very well optimized for customers, which is likely to attract real time leads.

Here’s some text from the page, which i found was simple, but could do wonders for Google.

Each day, thousands of companies, including the world’s top brands switch to Google’s enterprise solutions — Google Apps, Postini Services, or the Google Search Appliance. Google helps take the hassle out of managing IT solutions, letting you save time and cut costs.

First off all, by showing the fact that many companies switch to Google daily does increase the customers faith in the brand,. Next, talking about cutting costs also goes very well with the current situation of recession.

Well done Google!

ROFL : Microsoft Office Live Meeting Commercial [Must Watch]

Advertising is the most creative feild, and you’ve got to admit it. Well if here’s another peice of art from Microsoft, it’s commercial for Windows Office Live Meeting.

There’s this one guy, who is a vice president of International Sales. He Enters for a meeting, just like a professional and  then enters the lift. Now what Happens seems to burn his professional look into ash. Video After Break.

I Like it : 60 Seconds of Yahoo

Yahoo!

I really don’t know if Yahoo is that popular in countries other than India, but in India 4/5 of my friends have their primary Email address on Yahoo. Well that is a achievement for Yahoo!

I am not that satisfied with Yahoo, but whatever it may be, the recent ad Campaigns going on in India hope to pull of traffic from India, from every single source.

Here is a 60 Second Yahoo Commercial, which is well made. I don’t know if the services are actually like what it has been shown in the Ad, but yes for some time atleast, i feel like switching to Yahoo again. Video after Break.

UnChartered 2 Ad for PlayStation 3 : Well Done

Picture 2
Sony Playstation Price being dropped to $300 was a pretty Good Move. Now next step is advertising. Well, as far as what i have seen, “Fun, Anyone?” ads seems pretty convincing to Consumers.

Well, here’s a Trailer for the game UnChartered 2 for Playstation 3 (releasing on 13th October) which is a Well-Made Television commercial. Apart from the Game, it also focuses on the price change in Playstation 3.  There you go.

As far as what i see in trailers, the game seems to promising, the graphics are pretty good, and the story of games also seems attracting. With wide range of things gamers can do in this game, it may be a sure success.

This seems like a chain, and happens with all the Playstation. First Super High Prices, then Little down, no change for some time, then finally low prices and what do they get out of this? ExtraOrdinary Sales.

Ok wait. Ads on Google Maps for iPhone?

sushi new york

Well, Google has got into advertising by all the means possible. Videos, Flash Games. Now it’s turn for maps.

Recently Some Sponsored ads were spotted on the Google Maps app for iPhone. Along with your search query it will also provide a local sponsored link, for example below you see a image of when we search for “Sushi New York” we will get a local sponsored link  to a restaurant.

Well, iPhone is the Default Maps App for iPhone and use this advertising technology may yield Google a lot of revenue and would be beneficial to Advertisers too! Google has expanded it’s advertising technology to all the fields and this is just one of them.

Well, as per whispers around, Apple is also developing its own technology for Maps to replace Google Maps and then maybe it will bid a GoodBye to Google!
