Watch Full Length Television Shows and Movies on YouTube!

It’s Official! From Today you can watch all your favorite Television Shows and Movies on Youtube. Youtube has partnered with Crackle, CBS, MGM, Lionsgate and Starz  to provide us with thousands of Television Episodes and movies.

They have added many 2 tabs – Shows and Subscriptions (users can subscribe and stay updated with the fresh content) to the Navigation Menu. My last Post had some calculations which stated YouTube annually had a loss of 165 Million Dollars every year so in order to cover it up YouTube will now be showing in-Stream-Ads. This is completely different from what you watch on Television.

Shows and Movies are currently available to the U.S only but in some time the Subscription would be made available through out the world.  Nice step taken up by YouTube!

Traditional Advertising : It sucks

Social Media Is Booming out like anything. And at the same time most of the marketers and advertisers are turning towards it to look for profit. But till what extent have they been successful?

This Market has not been able to bring up Great success. THe tradiotional Methods of PPC (pay per click) or CPM (Cost-per-100-impression) are no more working. Users are not clicking on the ads. So now marketers are rubbing their heads to think of new ways how users could interact with the product.

FaceBook has its own Advertising Platform and the main loser will be FaceBook if it does not change its way of advertising. Better ways of interactiing would be via mean of Groups, Applications and so on and some of these have been tried and they have Prooved that these methods have brought more success to marketers than the Previous methods.

Still the search is on for a better alternative. Currently Twitter may also come up with an Ad Program which may be a great success.

Why twitter won’t have Ads!

twitterIn my Recent post i wrote about how twitter could be monetized. But I got strong opposition from Vihesh who said that this could not be possible. At this time you can’t predict anything but we need to wait and see. But for now twitter has started putting Free ads for Twitter Applications on Every Profile Page for users who have logged in.

Here’s what he said -

I can bet, Twitter’s never gonna integrate ads into their page. Not even the buying slots in the suggested followers list is a long lasting part, and is definitely not a part of their planned business plan. It’s silly to even expect twitter to get ads. One, they don’t have a standard ad network they can use (please don’t say say google ads, with the rife between them ,they’re is not a chance in the world twitter ever collaborates especially with google), and also because the day they include ads, they very well know that the rate at which their usage will drop, might be faster than the pickup rate. Ppl never realize how much they hate ads, but they really do. That’s why yahoo fails in front of Gmail. Also, I can once more bet, that Twitter’s business model is gonna be way more stable and trust worthy, and exploiting its stickiness through apps, rather than visiting the site. Cause if they planned to monetize through ads, they would never have released an API and allowed different apps to spring up.
Take my word, kill me if ads come on Twitter, at any point of time. :D

Only Time will decide!

Twitter may soon have ads : My Prediction is coming true!

twitterads In my last post’s i had discussed how twitter could start monetizing itself and what i told is now coming true!! You need to go through my post and then come back here then you will understand more.

Twitter’s ad invasion has begun. For now twitter has started showing ads below your follower, Following numbers when you you are logged in. They are showing only related links like twitter search and other twitter links but this is just the starting. Soon you might se a suggested following list or a ad over there.

Twitter has got active users, Great website and now what it needs is Ads. Bags of money ($250,000) are being offered to twitter just to get their profile included in the Suggested followers list. So now you know, Where twitter is going…. So at the end of the year you may see twitters founders in the Most richest Techies list!
