iPod Nano to get a camera : No changes to current design

Nothing in the world spreads more faster than radiation and Apple rumors. Here’s something hot off the rumor mill. Sources suggest that Apple iPod Nano is going to get a camera. If you remember Apple had added a video recording camera to the fifth generation iPod Nano. It dropped it all in the sixth generation iPod.

Now what we are hearing is that the next (seventh) generation iPod Nano is going to retain its shape and design but it will get a camera again along with the touchscreen iOS. The only other change visible would be to the side buckle for holding the iPod. That’s great. I can’t imagine having such a tiny looking device and clicking photos. Awesome. Via 9to5mac.

How much did people spend on tablets (iPads) in 2010?

Firstly, Analysts reported that 100% of tablet sales in 2010 consisted of iPads. Yeah, its quite an advantage being the first in the line to introduce tablets to the world.

Number two is that the world had spent about $9.6 Billion on tablets that same year with $9.566 Billion going to Apple for iPad. Insanely Great. [Source]

But Past is gone and Future awaits so the Real war will be in 2011 it is said sale of tablets may go up to $29.4 Billion this year. It is also being said Apple is going to grab 70% of the market this year. 2011 is surely going to be the War of the Tablets.

Amazon unleashes Cloud Service before Google or Apple

We’ve continually heard that Apple (After acquisition of Lala) was looking forward to launch a Cloud based locker service which would align itself with iTunes.com or maybe MobileMe. Rumors were that Google was also planning for something like this. Suddenly, out of the blue we have Amazon which unleashes the Cloud Drive and a Cloud based Music player too.

So what is Cloud?

You’ve been hearing about this since few years. What is it exactly?

“Cloud computing refers to the provision of computational resources on demand via a computer network.” – From WikiPedia.

Cloud Computing revolves around around data. It’s not physically with you but on the “Cloud” servers and you do not mandatorily need your computer to access it but varied types of devices for example, Your smartphone or tablets can also access the data using appropriate applications. This makes it easier to access data quickly from different devices.

What is Amazon offering?

It’s offering a cloud drive with 5GB worth of free space to upload and store your media (Music and Videos) and documents safely. All you need is a Amazon Account which is free and a browser to access the website and push content up or download it to other computers. They are offering tools to make your migration to cloud much easier. Once such tool scans you computer and auto-uploads all the music files to the cloud drive.

You can upgrade your plans. Well, pricing is $1 per GB. Yes, that simple.  It doesn’t work on iOS but works on Android based devices. The service is surely better than the competitor DropBox which does not allow such flexibility as Amazon. There’s some cool offer going on which lets you buy a MP3 album and upgrade to 20GB plan.  Give it a try here, it’s surely worth it.

A world where everything is done using iPhone Apps [Video]

After the Software and DotCom explosion, the next one is undoubtedly the App explosion. The best part? Apple’s iPhone is already leading the trail with Billions of App downloads and hundreds of thousands of Apps in the store. If you recollect, there had been few commercials, “There’s an App for that” from Apple for iPhone 3G.

Future isn’t far where there will be an App for almost everything 30 years down the line. Whatever be it, it’s cool to imagine it. Check the video down to see it in-video.

Thanks TNW.

iOS 4.2 for iPad and iPhone coming tomorrow?

Fresh from the rumors, we’ve heard Apple will be releasing the common OS to all its iDevices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) tomorrow. Numerous sources have pointed out.

We all are excited for it. It brings Multitasking, Folders, GameCenter, Wireless printing and Television streaming (with Apple TV ofcourse) to all the devices and is the first 4.0 update for the iPad. It has also got some HDR improvement.

Its free and rumors suggest its coming tomorrow, on the 9th. If not tomorrow then 12th November is also being speculated as the launch date as Apple will be releasing some network updates. Excited?

Its’s time to screw Android makers : Apple

iOS definitely got some huge user base but Apple’s not done with it. In recentness, we had heard of Motorola suing Apple regarding infringement of 20 patents. Obviously, Apple was going to respond and the answer comes in form of two lawsuits.

What Apple Says : Moto has infringed 6 patents ranging from Multi-Touch to OS. Products affected include Android phones Droid, Droid 2, Droid X, Cliq, Cliq XT, BackFlip, Devour A555, Devour i1, and Charm. Apple has especially focused on the OS part and that’s from where we derive our headlines.

Apple has been trying to suppress two of the leading Android based phone producers, Motorola and HTC with awful lot of lawsuits. At one point of time, Google will also have to step in as the patents target the OS. What possibly could be the “real thing” behind these claims is the strategy to ruin Google and their partner mobile companies relations.

Every second phone released in the market today is running on Android. Not specifically thought but collectively, these phones could endanger iOS and iPhone market share. So be it this way, we’re going to screw them : Apple.

Head over to Engadget and Patently Apple for more details on the story.

White iPhone is no more : Apple decides to pull it off

Apple’s known for perfection. Almost every product is crafted with perfection and that gives the customers a perfect reason to buy the iPhones. Proof : iPhone 4 sales tapering 3 Million and bringing huge profits to the company.

The White iPhone which was delayed for the third time is being rumored to be kicked out of Apple’s league.

Reason : Apple’s Camera. The Semi-translucent glass case at the back leaks light in resulting in the camera’s poor performance especially when the Flash is used. Apple’s not ready to take any more issues especially after the antenna outcry after iPhone 4 launch.

The Company Stated White iPhone was “more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected.” Guess, that says it all.

The new Facetime hits Mac : Also poses threat to security

If someone said chatting was not enough, we’ve got video conferencing. To complement that Apple released Facetime for Mac. It’s already hit the devices running iOS ie. iPod Touch and iPhones and now it finally comes to the Macs.

This could be the beginning of a revolution. It could alter they way people communicate with each other on a massive scale. Obviously, Apple has a large user base with iPods and iPhones and now when it comes the the Macs, all can connect with each other for free.

Video conferencing is not something new which Jobs invented and it has been around for a few years, but Apple has leveraged it and organized around it (clearly visible in its products) with Facetime cameras in devices and perfect software to support it. The latest Mac OS 10.7, as we said is being developed on the lines of iOS and a facetime software just adds to its perfection.

Steve Jobs army of developers have made a perfect blend of all products. In short, Jobs is lucidly explaining to us that we must buy the whole Apple family and not just a device. If you get an iPod, you’ve got to have an iPhone to Facetime with and if you’ve got a iPhone you’ve got to have a Mac to Facetime with. Its all interconnected and this gives an impetus to the sale bringing in more profits.

The Threat

The beta version of the software is out on Apple’s website and in few hours, devs have found out a way to exploit the software and how to reset the password of a innocent user.

The information of the apple id including birth date, security question and answer is displayed in plain text and the password can easily be reseted using the forgot password option and the details obtained before. Long way to go, Jobs.
