There are a lot of bloggers around who are always looking for a Windows Live Writer for Mac. Unfortunately thats not available for mac or Microsofts never going to do it, or else windows sale will get a hit.

So here’s a list of some of the blogging clients i found which might be able to replace Windows Live Writer

BloggerMany Bloggers who use Google’s Blogging service often complain about the url od the post. Unlike WordPress Blogger Users cannot edit the Url of the post. And also one more disadvantage is that you can’t add more than about 6 words in your url. This makes it very hard for a blogger to insert a appropriate title into the url. So what shall we do?
Learn to cope with Difficulties! I also thought the same and then I came up with a solid idea which I use for every post and this helps me to gain a lot of Google’s Juice (traffic). Follow few steps and then you can get good traffic!

Blogger Title

  • Write your post as usual but this time don’t fill anything in the Title
  • Now if you are writing a post like. “Microsofts lays off 5,000 jobs in 6 months” then choose keywords which would be appropriate for the post like (here), “Micsroft five thousand jobs and so on…”
  • Make sure the Keywords you choose do not excede 29 letters (including space)
  • Now Publish your Post
  • Now again edit your post and give a suitable healine.
  • You have made it!

Please Note : Once you Publish the Post then you cannot again change the url of your post by any method so choose your keywords wisely.

Wowzio the free widget service is going into Beta

wowzio widgetsRemeber Wowzio, the Widget Service? It used to create Great widgets for your websites. Like all other websites this one has also gone into beta.

The widgets which were available for free are now only availale if you have an invite which they send every 24 hours , about 25. But what’s good is this that now the widgets are ad Supported in which there is a revenue sharing program. Yes! you can earn something for it.

They are also offering Paid services which will cost around $1 per month for a professional widget.
But i don’t think it’s quite helpful for a blogger as this may slowdown your blog load time which may cost you your visitors. But if you are still willing to take the risk go ahead!

Blogger Adds New feature : Now Mark your Location on the Map

What are you blogging about? From where are you Blogging? Words are not really enough, right? So here’s what you should use to tell people your location. A map!

Blogger in Draft released this feature where any user can mark his location or the posts locations using a simple Map. If it is successful then this feature may be added to Blogger’s Original Version. Yes!

Overcome Bloggers block : Get some good content to blog about

Ask people around! Know what people want to read and then you will always be the winner. But is it easy? How? Through a website??? Yes!

Skribit is a discussion portal developed by a student in USA which helps overcome Blogger’s Block(It’s when you don’t know what to blog about due to lack of inspiration or creativity).

Users write on their suggestion suggesting toskribit people to blog about it and then people vote for the idea and when someone blogs about it, the url also get’s published (so you also get some traffic out of it).

And it’s obvious that if many people have voted for the topic than probably you will get good reader attention. Simple And straight, I like it.

Guide To NewBie Bloggers

I know i’m not a Pro Blogger, but still i had learned a lot of things in Blogging. I just thought to give some tips to Newbie bloggers to get success in Blogging. Most of the Newbie bloggers becoming losers as they not following their path correctly in Blogging field. So, I hope my tips will surely help the Newbie Bloggers to get success. Ok, here my 10 Tips,
1) Learn The Platform : First learn as much as possible about your Blogging Platform and its possibilities. Many bloggers use Blogspot and WordPress. I highly recommend WordPress if you going to start a blog if you can invest some money in Domain Name & Hosting. Otherwise choose the best free Blog from Blogger. Once you had registered or setup your blog learn about the Platform as much as possible and also know what you can do with it.
2) Learn Some Codes : No need to completely learn Coding but some basic knowledge on HTML will helps you to shape your blog and blog posts. Also, learn the basics of PHP if you going to blog in WordPress. Remember that no need to learn the HTML or PHP until you want to customize your Blog theme or Posts !

3) Choose Good Domain Name : Its no matter whether you going to host your own WordPress Blog or Free Blogger blog, always try to get a Good and Easy domain name for it. It helps people to remember your blog easily.

4) Keep Clean : Always try to keep your blog very clean. Don’t fill it with a lot of Ads, Images and so… Try to make your blog content easily visible to the visitors so that it will attract the visitors to read and make them to come back to your blog regularly.

5) Quality Content : It is the main thing of a Blog. Ya, until you not posting good and quality posts on your blog, remember no one will come to your blog back ! So always try to publish Quality, Original contents.
6) Make Friends : To become a blogger don’t just keep posting on your own blog. Also, read other related blogs and comment on them if you are really interested ( Don’t Spam ! ). Also try to participate in Social sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, etc.. and make friends there with same interests. It really helps you to expose your blog more !
7) Don’t Target O Money : Many Newbie bloggers becoming losers due to this only. Once if you start thinking of Making Money with your Blog then you can’t publish Good content on your blog. Then, you will always start to go back to the Money ! and finally you will lose ! So don’t Blog for Money. Try to Make Money from Blogging. ( I hope everyone can able to understand what i’m saying :) )
8) Stay Within Niche : If you don’t know what to post on any day just simply ignore that day or just post that you have nothing to post or post about any other relevant thing. But remember that don’t try to publish a off topic blog post. It may leads you to lose your regular readers. Also don’t do Paid Postings which are not relevant to your niche !

9) Blog Offline : Try to write blog posts on a Desktop Blog Publishing client and publish it after you completley finished writing. You may get diverted while using a Browser while writing a Blog Post directly on the Dashboard especially browsers like Firefox with Tab features makes you to get diverted. And i highly suggest you to use Blog Desk if your Blog Platform is WordPress.
10) Respect The Rules : If you want Organic traffic i.e., traffic from Search Engines then respect the rules strictly. To rank high in Search Engines try to build quality backlinks from relative sites or blogs, stop spamming with keywords, avoid Paid posts, don’t sell links and this list goes a long. Also learn some SEO techniques to increase organic traffic to your blog !

But According to Alexa , a website providing Information about websites, it is very easy.

It counts a link from blogger. How? Let’s Go into the detail.

Do you update your blog? Do you know it get’s listed in blogger’s updated blogs list out here,

If your blog is in the list and at that time if your blog is crawled by alexa, it’s your lucky day!

You will get a highly valued link, but remember it’s only for alexa.

Blogger in draft better than blogger

blogger vs blogger in draftI love using Blogger, But i like Blogger in Draft much more. Oh yes , both are the same right?
No, they aren’t the same. you need to learn a lot if you don’t know this! Don’t worry i’ll teach you.

But before that you must know from where and how to access it. A tutorial is given out here.

“Blogger in Draft” – the dynamic version of blogger 
The main difference between them is that you get to use many features before they are released on to the original blogger. 
Check out the bar which you use while posting your content. It has got the Undo and Redo button.


The next option is the Html settings option.
For Webmaster  it is quite good as you can Edit html in your post itself.

The image upload Options are also good. You can even place the images by moving your mouse unlike the original blogger where you have to selcet the arrangement , left or right or center or whatever.  It also has a menu which contains all the images which you have uploaded to blogger, only blogger draft.

It also has the import, export feature which allows you to join other blogger blogs into one or even make a backup of your blog posts on your hard drive. Isn’t it cool?

A Widget which shows Images from recent posts on your blog via your feed

You might have visited Engadget.com and you might have often seen their widget which shows some of their latest posts images which link to the original post. Ever thought of getting one for your blog?

You can do it all with a simple tool called Wowzio where you can get a cool widget which shows images from your posts all in a widget one after-the-other with each image linking to your blog post by using the panoramic slideshow widget . You can also add live visitors widget, a complete photo gallery, feed content, slideshow and even your blog tags all in a dynamic version.

It is a smart way of presenting your blog’s post with less space for them to take.

It’s quite simple. You can even set the size of the widget or use the auto size feature which set’s the size of the widget.

But there is one problem. When you install the widget you get a bar below the widget which says Wowzia and watever…
