I don’t know why but i was kinda’ expecting this from our engineers. Google’s April Fool trick Gmail Motion was stupid. Obviously, you cannot use motion sensing without a device to actually sense it. They didn’t mention any device for it.
Anyway, check out the video after break. You’ll be not-so-stunned when Gmail’s spoof was turned into reality by ICT’s MxR using a laptop, some code and a Microsoft Kinect.
From what we are hearing now, Facebook is all geared up and set to release the service this Monday. Media invites are out and reports suggest that this event being held, is purely about inbox. UI change, some tweaks, POP access and of course, @facebook.com email address. Brilliant.
Facebooks has got 500 million users and this makes it incredibly easy to implement the service unlike Gmail’s other competitors. Oh, yeah you did hear about Google Vs. Facebook fight about importing contact data. Now, slowly all things are falling in their places.
In short, you could possible sending a mail to your pals from @facebook.com account this monday!
I woke up this afternoon and was accessing my Gmail Inbox, i was curious to find a new link (in highlighted RED letters) next to my email ID saying “New! Priority Inbox BETA”, so i decided to checkout this new feature.
Priority Inbox is a new (BETA) feature offered by Google within their email based product Gmail, once this new feature is activated, it will find out the important mails and sort it out accordingly then put it into a new section called “Priority Inbox” which appears above your normal Inbox link in left side navigation menu
If any of your important email is left behind by the automatic detection of this new feature, then you can mark emails as important or not important manually and get it on the Priority Inbox
Google has released the new Priority Inbox feature to limited set of people and is currently in BETA mode
Also a new interactive video has also been launched by Google explaining what exactly Priority Inbox feature is all about
We hope this new feature will be rolled out to all Gmail users during next week in their inboxes
If you are a Gmail user, you probably wouldn’t be in the best of your mood. The reason being, once again Gmail went out, this time on the Halloween occasion. And if you thought that Gmail is back on track, well you should think again. Many users have posted on Google’s support forums complaining they haven’t been able to login into Gmail. It seems certain user have even made up their mind to switch to another email provider. One such user reacted to this situation in the following way:
More than 30 hours without email…totally unacceptable. I’ll definitely have to reconsider my selection of gmail for my primary email account. It may be I have to pay for an account but hell will freeze over before I pay one penny to Google after this debacle
The sad thing in the whole scenario is that Google has yet to come out and acknowledged the issue. To add salt to the wound, people (owning premier accounts) calling Google support line have yet to get their calls answered, so much for the so called Google 24/7 support for premier account users.
With Gmail, you can send and receive messages up to 25 megabytes (MB) in size. Please note that you may not be able to send larger attachments to contacts who use other email services with smaller attachment limits. If your attachment bounces, you should invite them to Gmail
Gmail Recently Unveiled a new Feature from Gmail Labs. Its a feature which can tell wether a User is awake or sleeping. Gmail Detects the Time Zone from which the email is sent from and then according to that Shows up with the results.
This feature will Greatly help people to connect with other people living in Different Countries. Gmail Make’s use of the Time in the header and so on and then shows a Green Light near the user if he/she is awake or a red light if the the user is Sleeping.
Google’s Mail service, Gmail has gone completely haywire. Well i was checking my mail recently my eyes were just stuck on this. What is this? I have received and email and the time it was showing was amazing.
According to Gmail I received the email –75303 minutes before. so if we go back in time i maybe less than 3 years when i received the mail. Google, You need to really work hard!
Internet Connectivity has become a lifeline of people around. So what happens when you are checking the Mail and then suddenly is it get’s disconnected then? How will you read the mail you were reading?
Google Has managed to find out a great solution. All you need to download is Google Gears.
It works like this – Whenever you are connected to the internet your
mail is Updated but as soon as you loose the connection Gmail will auotmatically switch to offline Mode. You can do everthing in that Browser just like how you used to do it when you were online Mark Mail, Read mailm label them. All this works as Gmail Stores the Data on your Hard drive. You can even Compose a Mail, it gets stored in the outbox and will be sent as soon as you connect with the Mail server. Like it? I love it. We need this in India especially as there is no guarentee about your internet connection. Thanks Google!
Yes! It’s true! You can Add videos to Your Google Talk Chat. You type in a YouTube Video link and then it is converted in to the video. This feature is also available in Gmail! This makes it easy, you can view videos in the while chatting Itself!
This is something quite Cool. Google Loves adding new features and the users love using them!
I know it is very tough for one Gmail user to quit his account when his email inbox is full and he does n user who has lost hiso want to delete any email or for any Gmail password. So what shall we do to solve out this problem?
Gmail Backup is a software which will allow users to create a back up of their Email and they can also transfer it to a new Gmail Account or you can even access your mail on desktop too by using a desktop email client like Microsoft Outlook.
It also a good idea for corporate people. They can use it to backup email so that even if they lose their password or anything else happens you have it all safe. If your still not convinced you can read why you should backup your Gmail account here (from the developers of this software).
