Breaking : Google Pagerank update is in Progress! Good or Bad for webmasters?

Seems like Googles Pagerank update is in progress (Thanks Binoy who pinged me on Gtalk with this news, showing that his blog showed a change in Google Pagerank!).

Thanks Binoy For Reporting

Google updates it’s pagerank quite often, but according Google’s Marissa Mayer google has 2 Pageranks. First one is Internal which updates on Daily Basis while the second is External, the one you see on Toolbars and pagerank checkers. But, as few sources claim mostly Internal pagerank is taken into consideration for various purposes.

Frankly Speaking, i have had experiences when websites with pagerank 0 have got onto the first page for top ranking keywords, which prove the myth of more pagerank=more vists wrong.

Dont Blame me Because i used Bing's Twitter Search

How to improve pagerank and get better traffic? Read what Google Says!

When it comes to building traffic and increasing pagerank there is no one you can ask rather than the Big G itself (Google). So Its very important to know how and now what Google has done is that it has put it up all in One presentation for fellow users to understand it.

You can watch a Half an hour presentation which tells users how their website gets noticed and how it is then slowly gets better and better. Check it out here. For slow connections it will take some time to load so have some patience.

Also one thing that i read written by Google and i wanted to say that “Writing One post a week is better than Writing Rubbish Daily” and do agree with them.

Increase your website traffic and pagerank with your images

Here’s a great tip on how you can increase your web traffic by just modifying you Images a bit and you will also be able to increase your pagerank!
Isn’t this Amazing? Let’s go through it.

Google’s Image indexing services index your images by the related content i.e the content typed with the image. You have to make sure that the text you type near the image MUST have the keywords for which the users might be searching for. This will help you increase your pagerank too. Another way is linking your image. Linking the images to the perfect webpage where the content is related to your picture will help you a lot. Links are major parts of a website.

Adding ALT tags is a MUST. These tags so so much about your image that nearly all image search engine mostly concentrate on the ALT tags. They help you a lot , and also make sure that even the ALT tag contain the keywords for which the users are searching for. Alt tag can be added easily into a image. You just need to edit the image code a bit.
AN example of it is – <img src=”yourimage.png” alt=”this is my image”>
where alt stands for the alt tag and there in the inverted commas you have to put the keywords.

One more thing is that whenever you use a image make sure it is hosted on your blog or website i.e it is uploaded on something like yourwebsite.com/images/img1.jpg

This will help you to build backlinks if other people embed your image on their websites.
