Palm Pre re-enables media synch feature with iTunes 9 thanks to Palm WebOS 1.2.1

iTunes-9-Palm-Pre

A long battle has been going on between Apple and Pre. First Palm Releases Pre with Media Sync Feature with iTunes. The Apple in it’s next upgrade bashes it up, and disallows Pre sync. Then in the Next Pre upgrade, it re-enables the sync feature with iTunes. Finally then with the release with iTunes 9 the feature is kicked off.

But for sure, Palm did not take it lightly and there comes Palm WebOS 1.2.1 which re-enables media syncing with iTunes 9! So just update your Pre handset with WebOS 1.2.1 and start connecting! Along with that Palm also promises a Better sync feature for Photo Albums in their next update

iPhone Killa : You know a iPhone Killer? This ones for you! [ROFL Video]

Whenever i read the newspaper, all i see is this – “Is **** going to be the iPhone Killer?” and **** is not what your thinking it to be but any phones name like Nokia N97 or Google’s G1 or Palm Pre.

In midst of all this Erik Johnson had time to make a video, which is a mashup of all these things going on.

He Writes

I recently produced a video parody of iPhone “Killers” that have become a buzzword lately. This pokes fun at these phones that offer little competition to the iPhone, even though they are hyped up from other mobile phone manufacturers and the media.

Well it’s true, worst of the phones are getting termed as iPhone killer. Anyways check out the video after break!

Apple’s iTunes Broke my heart : Palm Pre

Yes, Apple broke Palm Pre’s Heart…. with the latest iTunes update, it’s all over for Palm Users. Palm Pre had dashed into the market being know for it’s Syncing with Apple’s Itunes.

Now what? Now, Apple released it’s latest iTunes update 8.2.1 which breaks the syncing feature. So for Palm Pre users it’s a bye-bye to iTunes. But why did Apple do it? There might be many reasons affecting this. First would we the ever growing competition between Apple’s iPhone and Palm’s Pre. This would surely affect Palm’s sales.

What was stated in Apple’s Itunes Update Docs was quite expected.

iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple Devices.

Although users can Transfer media through the Old way, copy paste to the mass storage device.  But what’s next? We’ve not heard from Palm yet and are waiting for their reply. Apple gave it’s answer and now all Palm users are surprised.

Tip: Don’t update to 8.2.1 version of iTunes or else your syncing feature will vanish away. Let’s wait for more solutions later! Also if you have already downloaded the update and now unhappy, then head on to download the older version of Apple’s Itunes (8.2) here.
