Adobe Reader Lite : Blaze Fast Version of Adobe Reader

adobe reader lite

So, for the majority of us, we like to use none other than Adobe Reader for opening our .pdf files for going through the e-books, referring to the foreign University registration form or going through the inter-college band blast FAQs, naming a few. But the common problems for most of us have been the size and slow speed of the application that can be real hazards at times.

I have been adviced by friends to use ‘Foxit’ reader in place of Adobe, and I was surprised enough to find that software to be as compatible for opening all sorts of .pdf extensions with equal ease alike Adobe Reader. But somehow I could not compel or rather convince myself to uninstall my Adobe Reader and use the ‘Foxit’ one instead. I had always this feeling that maybe I will not be paying hard for my choice and trust on Adobe, and will not have to regret to neglect the ‘Foxit’.

And now, I found out this application called ‘Adobe Reader Lite’, which Adobe has come up with after the introduction of ‘Lite’ versions seemingly being a trend among the Technology giants. After Nero Lite in the application software scenario and Facebook Lite in the social media scenario, Adobe came up with its Adobe Reader Lite.

This application primarily is based on Adobe Reader 8, and is said to be its ‘Blaze Fast version’. The resulting fast speed is supposedly due to the removal of the several plugins that made it slow enough.

Also these given features have been checked:
1.License agreement pop-ups
2.Autorun and desktop shortcuts
3.Unnecessary plug-ins
4.Removes all auto update features and AcroRd32Info.exe with no errors in the event log

These steps can be significant enough to keep the regular users, who use to avoid hussles of loading bigger applications and waiting for it to get activated and flock to ‘Foxit Reader’ instead.

Microsoft Can’t Sell Word to Anyone now!

In a case, the judge in texas rules out the Microsoft cannot sell Word in United States due to patent infringement. Well this is quite shocking but it is true. Why? To know just read on.

The judge said that the order prohibits Microsoft from selling or importing to the United States any Microsoft Word products that have the capability of opening .XML, .DOCX or DOCM files (XML files) containing custom XML.

In the complaint i4i accused Microsoft on a method for reading XML

The injunction, which becomes effective in 60 days, prohibits Microsoft from selling future Word products that allegedly use the patented technology. It also enjoins Microsoft from testing, demonstrating, marketing or offering support for those future products.

Microsoft also has to pay $290 Million as damages! lol. Microsoft isn’t prepared for it, surely.

We are disappointed by the court’s ruling, We believe the evidence clearly demonstrated that we do not infringe and that the i4i patent is invalid. We will appeal the verdict.

- Said a Microsoft Spokesperson.

Microsoft doesn’t seem in a mood to take that likely. It is surely going to kick it off and on the next hearing i think Microsoft will surely make it.

iTunes 9 : Most likely to have Blu-Ray Support

Apple’s Mysteries are all what Bloggers around the Blogosphere are solving. But in Midst of this their is another Rumor popping in and it’s not about iPhone or the Web Tablet. It’s about iTunes 9.

Itunes 9 is supposed to have many new features.

  • Blu-Ray Support
  • Users will get the ability to visually manage their applications on their iPhone and iPod touch
  • Along with that, some social media integrations to take place too. Twitter and FaceBook are more likely to be added.  We are not sure about this feature in particular as to what it might be, something like broadcast your playlist, or perhaps twitter what your listening too.

iTunes is more likely to be out in the september time when apple has many iPod events and it is also being said that Apple may refresh it’s iMac lineup. Let’s Get ready for it!

iPhones not the only one to have a App store! Mac OS too got it’s app store!

Well i am using Apple Products which include a iPod touch + iPhone and one reason why i had actually bought them was the App Store. It contains Applications developed by people from all over the globe, each app being very useful in some or the other way. Now many of Apple users were disappointed to find there’s no App Store for Mac OS.

So what? It’s all up to developers! And now presenting to you, Bodega, a app store where users can fins useful applications for their Mac OS. It’s same like the App store for the iPhone. It contains categories ranging from audio to widgets. Picture 4

Since it’s just released you won’t find as many apps in the directory as the app store for the iPhone but this is a very helpful Software to download if your always looking for some or the other way to ease your work out. This contains both Premium (Paid) and free apps.

If you are thinking how does it manage to cover it’s costs then there are the Ad Spaces in the software for advertisers to advertise their products. Along with that this software allows developers to showcase their app very easily on the software!

If you’r excited and and want to give it a try hop on to Bodega.

Mozilla Firefox is soon going to reach 1 Billion downloads!

Firefox Mozilla is soon going to reach 1 Billion downloads!  According to the Firefox Download Guesstimator, it’s going to hit the number, 100,000,000

Well Firefox 3.5 was downloaded more than 4 Million times after the release within 24 hours!! Beat that Internet Explorer! Firefox 3.0 also has a World record for the most downloaded browser in a day too!

Well Mozilla is making up new stats! It seems to have taken up atleast 30% of Market Share and the Market share of IE6 has dropped to 60%!! Go FireFox, Go!

I think this may have increased due to those Die IE8 campaigns. It’s obvious when one browser goes, obviously someone else will have to come to replace it and i think Firefox is capable of replacing Internet Explorer 6, anytime.

Most Sites have also dropped support for IE6 and are asking users to shift to Firefox which again gives a boost to FireFox + the GreaseMonkey script which allows users to edit webpages as to their viewing has made it very popular within the webmasters.

Palm Punches on Apple’s Face Again : Palm Pre syncs with iTunes 8.2.1 again!

palm-pre-itunes

Well, if you read my last post about Apple breaking Palm’s heart by disabling iTune’s syncing capability with Palm Pre then here’s a good new for those sad Pre users.

Yes, Palm Pre’s Syncing with iTunes is back!

With Palm’s Latest update WebOs 1.1 it re-allows you to connect your Palm Pre with iTunes! Rejoice Pre users! So if you’ve not updated your Palm Pre then better get your Over-the-Air update done to get back into action with iTunes!

The Companies Blog post contained a line which said

Oh, and one more thing: Palm webOS 1.1 re-enables Palm media sync. That’s right — you once again can have seamless access to your music, photos and videos from the current version of iTunes (8.2.1).

Let’s wait for Apple’s answer to this!

Microsoft Office 2010 : The movie | Cool ad for Office 2010 from Microsoft!

Well people, especially the Mac guys wouldn’t have like Microsoft’s Ad campaign, the Laptop hunters one. But this one’s pretty cool.

Microsoft Recently released a new ad, the one which features Microsoft’s Office 2010 as a movie which has won “Redmond Local Film Festival” lol :) And by the way, the Clippy from MS word, is dead too! Watch it out, you will love it! :P By the way do check out the laptop hunters ad campaign too, that was funny though.

Video after the break.

Apple’s iTunes Broke my heart : Palm Pre

Yes, Apple broke Palm Pre’s Heart…. with the latest iTunes update, it’s all over for Palm Users. Palm Pre had dashed into the market being know for it’s Syncing with Apple’s Itunes.

Now what? Now, Apple released it’s latest iTunes update 8.2.1 which breaks the syncing feature. So for Palm Pre users it’s a bye-bye to iTunes. But why did Apple do it? There might be many reasons affecting this. First would we the ever growing competition between Apple’s iPhone and Palm’s Pre. This would surely affect Palm’s sales.

What was stated in Apple’s Itunes Update Docs was quite expected.

iTunes 8.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and addresses an issue with verification of Apple Devices.

Although users can Transfer media through the Old way, copy paste to the mass storage device.  But what’s next? We’ve not heard from Palm yet and are waiting for their reply. Apple gave it’s answer and now all Palm users are surprised.

Tip: Don’t update to 8.2.1 version of iTunes or else your syncing feature will vanish away. Let’s wait for more solutions later! Also if you have already downloaded the update and now unhappy, then head on to download the older version of Apple’s Itunes (8.2) here.
