Youtube, is used by Bloggers, Dancers, Musicians, teachers, students, and some idiots, who put on useless stuff. And how did i forget, those Marketers who use Youtube as Viral Marketing tool! Anyways, because of having so many users, it is obvious it does have a large audience.

So there it goes, Today Youtube changed it’s logo a bit, to tell the world it gets 1 Billion Views everyday. Well, Google did acquire it for a heft amount ($1.65 Billion) but it seems it’s not been able to make any profits and Youtube is taking of lot of bandwidth. So thats the Reason why Youtube is pushing into Deals with Companies to serve Music Videos and is also experimenting various advertising Models. Way to go, Youtube!

Sony has got the Lightest NoteBook Ever

Sony recently unveiled VIAO X. This 11 Inch NoteBook has been named as the Lightest Laptop Ever. How does it manage it? Well, it’s got a Carbon Fiber Shell and so it’s got a weight of just 1.6 pound.

It’s got a Atom Chip, which makes it run continuously for an average of 3.5 hours and a Second Extended Battery which can allow it to work, 14 hours extra!

It’s also got a MultiTouch Interface, which supports all those, Pinching, Swapping, Rotating ( Like those MacBook Trackpads).

Pricing is set to be $1300, with a 2Ghz processor, 2Gb Ram, 64 GB solid state drive and unexpectedly not windows Xp but Windows 7!

Design is pretty cool, and this is a must must firstly if you can go for $1300 and if you like showing it off. $1500 Limited version is also available which it has a doubled Storage and other features and All Gold Style.

Yahoo to shut down something for which is payed $3.65 Billion

Yahoo has been set to shutting down many services or selling them off. One of them, is Yahoo GeoCities for which is payed $3.65 Billion in 1999. Well, wow! That’s an amazzing amount to pay for and taking it down is not that easy, atleast not for many.

As the New Yahoo Ceo Carol Bartz’s plans, they are going to do stuff like that simple so that they can concentrate on their existing services which include Messenger, Yahoo Mobile, Mail, Homepage, Search (Recent Deal with Microsoft proves that), Yahoo Music and portals like that.

Seems, like they seem to promote their Web Hosting Services, by giving a limited $4.99 deal a month for a year. Also, it is giving you a option to save your files, on your computer before October 26, after which none of these files will be available. Here’s a Sign Off Letter from them reminding the shut down of the service from Yahoo!

Thousands of Windows Hotmail Account hacked and Password leaked online

Well, this is a very nasty situation which you would not like to get yourself in, but apparently, Neowin reported that about 10,000 of the Windows Hotmail accounts had been hacked, and their passwords had been posted to pastebin.com, a Website for developers tho share codes, etc.

Don’t feel happy that you can get into someone’s account, because the list has been removed by the website after it was published on 1st October.

Most of the accounts hacked were @live.com, @hotmail.com and @msn.com. While it has been found that most of the accounts were from UK users who used the Mail service.

This gives Serious blow to Microsoft, and this may be caused due to some loophole or something.

There has been no response form Microsoft, but we are waiting for Microsoft’s answer. Also, Please do change your password immediately and the security question too. Well, this could be a part of Mass Phisihing Scheme or something we’re not sure about. Stay tuned for Updates.

Update : The List from A-B has just 10,000 Email id’s and so you can guess the lists till z will have how much information!

Microsoft Tablet Rumors begin to fly in the Blogosphere!

We are not yet over with the Rumors about Apple’s tablet PC and there comes some news from Microsoft, it’s biggest rival that it might be working on some a Tablet PC too.

The Tablet according to leaked pictures and information has a 7 Inch Screen which will be touch-sensitive (very obvious) and have stylus input and writing. It’s another purpose may be to compete with Amazon’s Kindle as a Ebook Reader The device has also been named Courier, now if you can remember something that among the lists of fonts in Word, this name is also present!

The Design will be more Book-Like than actually being like a tablet. Instead of pages it will have two screens which will fold one above other and would form a Booklet like Object.
It is also being said that Microsoft Might be able to beat Apple in the Tablet race by releasing it before then it’s competitor. Yikes!

Currently it’s in Development stage and the User Interface is being worked upon. But on thing is not surely confirmed, that will it be working on Windows 7 (Maybe because Windows 7 is touch ready) or Windows Mobile 6.5 or a new system.

Prices Still seems to be a mystery. It’s not confirmed but it is not likely to be untrue because this era is of Tablets and it’s not possible that leading tech companies like Microsoft would remain behind in the race.

Microsoft Poaching Apple Employes for New Microsoft Retail Stores

Some People Feel Apple’s very good at Retail and according to some sources Microsoft feels the same too. Yesterday, Some people Contacted the Loop Regarding this Matter Confirming this news of Microsoft Going after Apple’s Employees.

Microsoft has got in touch with some of the Apple Store Employees and offered them, their golden pot of money which is more valuable than that of App

le’s. Along with that, in some cases Microsoft is also ready to pay them “Moving Charges” also which further heats this up.

As soon as one Apple Employee is hired, he asks others at Apple’s Key Positions in the Sales team to join in Microsofts Den for a hefty payout which is obviously more than that of Apple’s.

Microsoft’s Retail Store strategy is seeming pretty challenging to Apple. If this Goes true than maybe Apple will loose out a lot.

Apple’s Tablet PC : Taiwan Manufacturers lucky to tap Supplies for the Tablet

A Taiwanese News Website Recently Posted information which left us no Reason to believe that Apple’s Tablet PC won’t be out by next February.

According to the Sources, it is confirmed that Taiwanese Manufacturers have Tapped the Supply for Computer Parts for the Most Rumored, Apple’s Tablet.

Simplo Technology Co., Ltd., DynaPack International Technology Corp have been assigned the job of supplying 300,000 long lasting Battery Packs (Woo! That’s a real big number!) for their Tablet Pc.

Next, Wanshih Electronic Co., Ltd. which is a supplier of PC mini coaxial cables situated in Taiwan has grabbed the offer for Apple’s mini coaxial cables order (about 70%).

Apart from that, Taiwan’s Mag. Layers Scientific-Technics Co., Ltd. and Wintek Corp will supply Power Chokes and Touch Panels (Same which were supplied for iPhone’s) Respectively to Apple.

A 9.6 Inch Screen
Multi Touch User Interface

Prices can be around $1000 Range. But, under Mass Production the prices may go a further drop as of what we assume now. Apart from that, it is also being stated that this Tablet will be coming in Hands of AT&T and not Verizon. Ha.

Now, after this if someone tells you that the Apple Tablet Rumor is fake, will you believe it?

WordPress Users alert : New Security threat on the round!

WordPress is the Coolest, Easiest and the best Blogging Platform and that’s the reason why i use it and also because why so many users use it.

But what happens when it’s under attack? Oh Shit! But this time is not to panic but to know and understand it and prevent it. Here’s what Lorelle says that,

There are two clues that your WordPress site has been attacked:

First, there are strange additions to permalinks, such as example.com/category/post-title/%&(%7B$%7Beval(base64_decode($_SERVER%5BHTTP_REFERER%5D))
%7D%7D|.+)&%/. The keywords are “eval” and “base64_decode.”

The second clue is that a “back door” was created by a “hidden” Administrator. Check your site users for “Administrator (2)” or a name you do not recognize.

So Now how to prevent it?

Ok, so if you are using any other version than the latest version, upgrade now to the latest one!
Change all Your FTP passwords, WordPress Passwords.

Google Voice coming to iPhone but with a Web User Interface!

There’s a hell lot of things that have happened since the Google-Apple war has began. Eric Schidmt, Google’s Ceo had to resign from Apple’s Board of Directors. Then FCC looked into the matter why Google Voice App had been banned by Apple. None of the users are happy from this, atleast i am not.

Inorder to replace the App which had been banned from the App Store Google has decided to launch a web app of Google Voice on iPhone. It will have all the features that were to be present in the Earlier app, but this time it would be just a browser version. Apart from the you can also add a icon to your home screen too.

According to the New York Times

Google says it is readying a replacement for the Google Voice app that will offer exactly the same features as the rejected app—except that it will take the form of a specialized, iPhone-shaped Web page. For all intents and purposes, it will behave exactly the same as the app would have; you can even install it as an icon on your Home screen.

Its more similar to the iPhone version of iPhone where the User Interface has been specially built for iPhone users. Seems pretty cool to me and i am very excited for this! Go-ogle-GO!
