Ubuntu 9.10 released

Finally Ubuntu 9.10 has been released and is available for download. Karmic Koala is the codename associated with Ubuntu 9.10. Ubuntu 9.10 as expected brings new features and introduces a new version of GNOME desktop environment.

Canonical released the release candidate (RC) of Ubuntu 9.10 this Thursday. Ubuntu 9.10 codenamed Karmic Koala is the latest version of the ever popular Linux OS. Final version of Ubuntu 9.10 will be released on Oct 29 as per company’s release schedule.

An image of the OS is available for download on Ubuntu’s Web site. The  RC is available for download in three versions which include the server, desktop and netbook versions.
