3D Holograms in Air without screens now possible : The future as you see it

The last decade in Hollywood marked the dawn of Modern Science Fiction in Movies. Be it Iron Man or Avatar, they've shown the concept of holograms in the air. Something like this seemed impossible a decade back but in 2006, it was finally invented. Upon further work by a company based out of Tokyo, the technology has reached a stable stage.

With a 50,000 dots per second and Frame per second rate upwards of 10, this works on the concept of excitation of oxygen and nitrogen plasma in the air using. Sometimes, I feel sad because Steve Jobs takes all the limelight. Not just once, ever since. Always. Steve Wozniak, the infamous co-founder of Apple willingly takes the backseat. Years after his leave at Apple, at a keynote on Storage Networking World in Santa Clara, California he was questioned as how tablets could change the computer industry. I expected some sort of answer and he fulfilled my wish. He compared them to TV's. Moreover he called them, "It's for the normal people in the world".

I think Steve Jobs had that intention from the day we started Apple, but it was just hard to get there, because we had to go through a lot of steps where you connected to things, and (eventually) computers grew up to where they could do ... normal consumer appliance things

He even expressed his desire that Android tablets shall never surpass iPads. Why? Ofcourse, somehow the technology that powers iPad is the highly evolved version of the technology that Steve Wozniak had designed in 1980. The question that bugs most of people who follow Apple is that, Why did Wozniak ever leave Apple? Steve Jobs and Wozniak had different vision for the company. Wozniak was inclined towards the engineering side while Jobs was interested in running a business and a company. [Source]

Can Heartbeat Be Used To Charge Gadgets?

Guess what? If your iPod or Cellphone is running low on battery and you can't manage to find a power point to charge it? In the coming years, you will be able use body movements (heartbeats, walking movements, etc.) to charge them! But if you are in such a condition in near future, continue your search for the power point. Dr. Zhong Lin Wang and his team of researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have developed tiny "nanogenerators" that use small movements to generate enough power to charge phones and other gadgets. At the National Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society, Wang’s team demonstrated the awesome device by using it to power LCD Screens and even transmit a radio signal. Wang said, “This development represents a milestone toward producing portable electronics that can be powered by body movements without the use of batteries or electrical outlets.” Wang says that if the nano-generators are in clusters they could possibly generate a good amount of electricity which can have larger applications in lief. Nanogenerators vitality lies with the zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowires -- "piezoelectric" gizmos that can generate an electric current when strained or flexed. Better Camera - iPhone 4 had a camera of 5 megapixel while iPhone 5 is expected to have about 8 megapixel camera.
Home Button - Home Button is set to disappear? (What? - That means some innovation could be expected to replace it)
Screen - Screen of iPhone 5 is set to have a diagonal length of 5 inches.
Resolution - The wider screen means Resolution of course is better.
Design - The Design is somewhat the same but the metal brush finish at the back could be replaced by glass and maybe inspired by iPad 2?
Model - A white model maybe launched (Would it really make a difference?)
Physical Keyboard - Physical Keyboard can be expected (99% chances are no, but you never know it's Apple you're dealing with!)
High Storage - A 64 GB model can be introduced (Stands a higher probability because a prototype was leaked before)
Video Recording - It may have a facility of HD recording.
Cost Factor-A low cost model may be introduced (That's what we're waiting for)
3D Display - With the rise of 3D era, 3D camera's 3D screens already on some android devices, iPhone could also get 3D
Better Battery - The battery life of this phone can be long lasting (Like always).
CDMA Model- It may have a CDMA facility.
2 Sim Card Slots - It may have a Dual Sim facility like many other Samsung's (I don't think this could rather be happening)
NFC Technology - It may have Near Field Communication technology. If you don't know what it is, head on here.
A5 processor- As iPad 2 has A5 processor so iPhone 5 is most likely to have it. (Like what happened with iPad and iPhone 4)
RAM - It will rock a 1GB ram, upgrading from it predecessor iPhone 4 which has 512 Mb ram.
HDMI Output - New HDMI output with 1080p HD support (Which is unlikely again because of few business reasons)
4G/LTE- iPhone 5 can be compatible with 4G/LTE technology that Verizon brought in.
Enhanced Voice Control - With new IOS 5 the existing controls could be enhanced and new ones added.
Availability - It can be available in June,July or September (September being more likely)
iTunes Cloud - This could be launched with maybe Mobile Me revamp or something like that.
Airsync - The ability to sync with iTunes without wires i.e over the air. Could use a jumble of NFC technology?
Voice Recognition - It may have support for Voice Recognition technology (somewhat like that on Microsoft's Kinect?)
iOS 5 - iOS being launched with the iPhone 5 with many new features and improvements.

Sony prepares its base for extravagant mobile designs with new technology

Sony's getting ready to push another revolution in mobile phone designs. Sony has developed a technology called 'single wire interface technology' which streamlines the internal cabling within a mobile phone (which is generally about 22 wires) to one single wire made of copper. That one single wire carries, audio, video and camera (VGA) signals along with DC power all in one cable. It's terrific because conventionally we've had wires increasing just as feature kept creeping in. Folding of these cables had been a challenge for mobile makers who had to compromise while preparing hinge and slider phones. Apple developing the Technology of Future for your iPhone?

To add to the upcoming patent wars (hopefully from Nokia and HTC), we have Apple publishing as many as 16 new patents covering mobile technology. They possibly could be breakthrough in the way people do things, everyday. This patents which arrived at the US patent office yesterday suggest the evolution of a new kind of feature in your iPhone. Remember old days, Technology was related to WHAT. Today, it's related to WHERE. Geo-location tagging, Augmented reality and apps with support from them pouring into app stores probably provoked Apple too. Just imagine, if you just walk into a restaurant and you get the Menu on your iPhone directly? Or, suppose you go to Library and you get the whole database downloaded to your iPhone in a second? Well, thats the plan at Cupertino's notorious office. They are going deeper into location based services and this could be a feature in the future iPhones.

This simple, you thought rocket science huh? As soon as the device enters the WiFi Hotspot range, the location data (latitude, longitude, direction, etc.) is calculated and is communicated. Once the location of the device is approved, all the data from the content delivery network is downloaded on your Device. Neat. Commercially, scope is wider but educationally it's more wider than we can imagine. This technology could even possible reduce the load of books or maybe those bulky laptops? Google has seen immense growth, poking it's nose in each and every sector, healthcare, biotech, cleantech, software, news delivery, books and nearly everything. Google is very hungry. It wants to capture everything that belongs to you, your entire digital life. From Email to health records online, from entertainment to books, Google wants to know everything about you. It wants to track your online activity and store it for 18 months. Google Buzz breached privacy also, Google Maps has been under a lawsuit for containing unwanted images of people vomiting and naked children. Google wants to know everything about you. But why? 97% of Google's revenue is sourced from Advertising and Google wants to know more about you so that it can target you with right types of ads and get more conversions and high numbers on it's yearly revenue score cards.

Multi Touch finally arrives at Nexus One officially via OTA update

No more missing multi touch interface on Nexus One, Google just issued a OTA (Over the Air) update for Android running on Nexus one's which brings in multi touch capabilities to your Web Browser, Gallery and Google Maps. Earlier some third party patches had enabled Multi Touch only in the browser. This means all those pinch and zoom gestures which iPhone users are much used to have now arrived at Nexus one. Also the Google Maps version is upgraded to 3.4 which brings the talked about "Night Mode" feature to Maps. Nexus one's hardware was completely capable of Multi touch gestures but they had not been added initially. Rumors were up that the reason behind Google not adding these features was due to patent infringement matters with Apple as they used the same technology in their popular products, iPhone and iPod touch. Few other market analysts say that it was because Google wanted to track user's initial reaction to Multi-touch's absence. This is an automatic update so it's not in your hands for the update to start and end but you can surely get the update manually if you don't have it yet [Instructions here].
