Well, my house house has got seven windows, and i haven’t received my free copies of Windows 7 :P

But this is quite weird. People Use the same windows and howl abuses on it, it’s like making a hole in the plate your eating. So, to cover up i had some windows Guys too, I had put a poll to ask “Does Windows Suck” to clear out the above discussed points and i was surprised at the result, which said that 75% people feel windows does not suck.

Next, i searched for Mac F***, but amazingly i found some tweets which supported Apple!

But finally Pricing does matter and people prefer buying PC’s because they are more affordable for sure. This is something what Apple Needs to take under consideration. $1000+ for Computers is way expensive.

Final Note : Well, i found out Twitter is filled with lot of Apple Fanboys, who can abuse off Windows, but at the same time there are few Windows Lovers too, ahem ahem, (I know some of them) and Linux Lovers. But it seems most run on windows and are always complaining.. But for me, whatever it may be, my work should be done. What do you think?

Today, when i was just changing my Wallpaper on my Computer, i just clicked on Speech in the System Preferences. Well, then what i found was the Text to Speech stuff, which in Windows is known as Windows Narrator.

Well and Good that Mac has it. But then i saw another feature, called Speech Recognition. I clicked on it. All i saw was Speakable Items Written on Top with options, to Click on or off. Following my age old habit, i clicked on and waited to see what happened.

Picture 38Some Small Circle like thing popped up with a Microphone drawn on it, and it had something written over there, “Esc”. So, i just pressed “Esc” and the Mic Started Receiving Voice. Good. I started singing….

But then, i though what is it exactly? And i don’t know what happened or was it a co-incidence, i said “Apple” and at that time i was Watching some YouTube Video. A new tab opened with Apple.com!

Well, that was just the starting. I went back to the settings, and dug in, like i always do and found out many, many commands which could be used do save time, and just do simple tasks.

When keeping “Esc” pressed (or any other key which you can assign in the Speech Settings), i just spoke “What time is It?” and then i heard some voice repeating my question with the answer.

And if that’s not enough, you could assign your own names too, for example i landed on hop.im (My Url shortening service) and i just said “Make This Page Speakable” and then some Box Popped out asking me to type in something which could be said by me everytime i want to open the page. I named it Hop. So, now every time i say “Hop” it opens hop.im in my broswer. Same With Twitter, Google and Apple (Ofcourse) and many more.

Just a Tip : Using a External Microphone is suggested because the internal one’s are located at odd places, and in order to record it clearly you need to take lots of pains, so a external would rock. Also, there have been lots of problems i have been facing with this because of some Accent problems, Our (Indian) English is way different from those of the Americans.

Seriously, i just loved the way how i got the MacBook. Frankly Speaking, i was more excited about the packing than the actual contents, be cause i had already seen iPhone and iPod Touch Packaging by Apple. So Simple, So Neat, So amazing.

Well, ever wondered if Apple was to hire you, how will you receive the offer, i mean what type of packaging?

Much like all other User Manuals, this iOffer too carries the Apple Logo at the front, and it says everything. Then Slowly as you open it, you get to read the Text Welcome to Apple. There’s something called “Ah, Paperwork” too which is way different from other companies which seems to publish a 100 pages book kind of stuff while hiring.

Next, when he finally opens the flap, he gets the “Offer” printed in plain black bold letter, in front of the whole document. Impressive.

Drawing is really very easy. But do you think it is possible for us to draw just exactly like reality? Well, the is made possible by PhotoSketch.

What this does is that, when you draw something, and give the object a name, it automatically starts searching for the image and after finding the matches with the object name and the Diagram, it then starts putting together the various images to find which one makes, the perfect picture. Too Complex? Check out the Video to understand it.

It’s very amazing to see that such technologies are now slowly entering the market. This will make the task of making pictures by cropping, etc easy. Just Draw, Name and Get it. Photosketch has got some filtering scheme which excludes all the un-needed images making it easier to get Targeted and Quality Images. 

Also, the final result is of High Image Quality and they are working on it as they study the users.

Most probably, whenever you put on your wifi, your main focus is not on using it but preventing any outsider from breaking into your WiFi and him Surfing FaceBook with you paying all the Bills.

Now, no more. Here come Anti-WiFi Paints, when rooms are coated with it they prevent, any WiFi Signals form entering from outside the house but Preventing the WiFi Signals from outside to escape outside.

The Paint is prepared using aluminium-iron oxide which has the same frequency as the Wi-Fi signals. These paints can absorb upto 100GHz (GigaHertz) which is well enough to absorb, Wi-Fi Signals, Fm Radio, Cell Phone signals too.

Shin-ichi Ohkoshi who is from the University of Tokyo and the lead for this project has pretty impressive ideas for the project. According to him these paints can be used in Future in Cinema Halls to prevent Cell Phone from Ringing in Cinema Halls (Oh God, in India we need it right now!).

This paint will available at a price of £10 per kilogram which is not much. So With just one paint, you get to see your neighbour cry next time you see them!

Prank : Shut Down Computer by simply clicking a icon

Ever thought of how to log off / restart / shut down a pc by just clicking on an icon? Or wait playing pranks with friends by making him click on My Computer Icon and shutting down his system? Here’s how to do it.

Well the trick is to make a Fake icon .Which is now more than easy to create with the instructions given below.

How to get it done :
1.) Right click on the desktop in a blank space.
2.) Select new.
3.) Click where it says create shortcut
4.) Where it tells you to type a location type in one of the codes below:

-If you want there computer to shutdown type this in:
shutdown -s -f -t 60 -c “type a message you want to appear here”

-If you want it to log them off type this:
shutdown -l -f -t 60 -c “type a message you want to appear here”

-If you want it to restart there computer type this:
shutdown -r -f -t 60 -c “type a message you want to appear here”

5.) Click OK and name it My Computer.

6.) Right click on the file you just made and click properties and look for where it says change icon.

7.) find the icon that is the same as the “my computer” icon

8.) change the icon and wait for the victim to open my computer, then it will shutdown / log off / restart.
