Apple to buy twitter possibly

Previously Google attempted to own Twitter which ended in vain. This time around it seems that Apple wants to get their hands on the ever popular microblogging network Twitter. Having said that all this is attributed towards being a rumor as TechCrunch reports.

A source, pretty reliable one went on to say

Apple is in late stage negotiations to buy Twitter and is hoping to announce it at WWDC in June.

With Apple’s WWDC just around the corner, who knows we might end up hearing something in relation to this latest rumor. However, considering Twitter’s stance of not being in a mood to be sold, it is highly likely that Apple will end up with the same fate as Google. Let us wait and see what happens. By the way, what is ur opinion regarding this. Should Apple go for Twitter???

Google initiates Google Lime scholarship

Google made an announcement yesterday in which it added another scholarship program named “Google Lime Scholarship for Students with Disabilities” to its impressive list of scholarships. This time Google has partnered and join hands with Lime to offer this scholarship.

This program is targeted towards providing scholarship to those disabled students who are pursuing a computer science  degree in Canada or USA.

Lime is a non profit organization that attempts to that joins disabled people with global organizations in its attempt to bring a unique source of talent.

The scholarships are set to be awarded for academic year spanning from 2009-2010. The recipients will get the chance to attend an all expenses paid retreat at the GooglePlex located in Mountain View in 2010.

Google hopes that this program will provide opportunities for the deserving disabled students and provide a positive push to them in pursuing a degree in computer science.

Last date to apply for this year’s scholarship is 1st June,2009. To get more details please visit Google Scholarships.

YouTube Video viewed more than 150 million times, Artist earns $16

The co-author of the song  “Never Gonna Give You Up,” which was a complete hit no YouTube with over 150 Million views has just earned about $16, a price for which he can buy his own Cd once. This might be funny for you but he thinks that Google has Exploited him.

I feel like one of those workers, because I earned less for a year’s work off Google or YouTube than they did off the Bahrain government – He told to a newspaper firm.

This is not the first time it has happened but many U.K artists have also criticized Google for not compensating them well.

A YouTube spokesperson said

We absolutely believe that artists should be compensated fairly, But how much the artist gets paid is between the artist and the label

Sixth Sense till now was just a Concept but soon this may turn into Reality. Can you think of looking at a person and getting tags, and other info about the man? Will it be possible for you to just look at a Airport Boarding Pass and get more information about Flight Delays? Now can you imagaine to look at the book and get to see User Ratings from Amazon and much more Information? Now last Question – Is it possible for you to just make a sign with your hand and capture an Image?? The Answer to all these Questions is Yes. May be the Video below shot at TED  would leave you Shocked and Amazed at what a Indian can do!

Steve Jobs still active at Apple

It has been more than three months since Apple’s Chief Executive Steve Jobs took a medical leave.Many people have wondered what Apple’s most valuable asset has been upto during this leave.

Sources say that he remains keenly involved when it comes to dealing with key aspects of running the company.

Steve Job also played a vital role in shaping up the iPhone OS 3.0, which provided Cut, Copy and paste features alongwith support for device wide search

One of his current activities include working on a portable device which is larger than the company’s handheld device but definitely smaller than MacBooks.

Lets hope that Mr Jobs gets back in June in best of his health and continue his amazing work.

 

TweenBot : The Ultimate Robo Expermient

TweenBot was a robot made by Kacie Kinzer where the Robot was left on the Streets of New York City to reach the specified destination. THe Robot could only go forward so it needed help of the pedestrains to reach the postition. It had a Flag with it stating it’s desired location. So did people help the robot reach it’s location or was it crushed somewhere? Video after the break.

The Advantage of having a group blog

Today there are over 110+ Million blogs and growing and i have noticed that there are many Single Bloggers who are giving their best efforts but still it isn’t showing. It consumes much more time and much more effort and the final result is not always what we expect.

So here’s what my idea is -

More Bloggers = More Content = Less Individual Effort = Less Time = Much Better Result

So that’s quite simple. But aha, there are some Rules to be followed. Your blog will only succeed if You have “Talented Writers”.  Getting people to post rubbish won’t help by any means. Also THe content Should be original or else people will not even look at your blog. Another advantage of having a group blog is that The expenses are Divided so not much of Load on each one. Currently I am also Looking for technology bloggers for my blog. Please contact me for more details.

A low cost Iphone on its way to India and China

Apple’s iPhone was a huge loss in India. The factors where the High Prices, a 16 Gb model of Iphone in USA costed one$399 which is much less compared to the Indian Price of 600$. The reasons why price was high was because the Call costs in India are much cheaper than the caller rates in Other prats of the World. 

But Still iPhone did not sell much in such countries. Now an analyst suggessts that iPhone without Wi-Fi would be released in these countries and so the price would obviously decrease. These Models may come up during the Month of June.

Etiole 3.0 : we have finally been WordPressed!

Yes. My Wish has finally come true and Etiole is running on Worderepress. I had to see lots oftought times on order to get it started. First i made the whole site on another account and then the stuff got deleted out there. And till that much time the etiole.com was live with wordpress and i wasn’t able to Bring up the blog from the previous account to this account.

Well, leave it and this is what the final design is! I really love it. The problem here is that i have migrated to WordPress from Blogger so i will need to edit all the posts in order to make them compatible. SO that will take some more time and till then enjoy reading!
