People have always made fun of Windows, even if they use it (True in most indian cases). There's this video that shows what would be the situation of Matrix if it was programmed on Windows Xp. Windows XP outsmarts Windows 7 when it comes to consuming battery life on Netbooks

This might come out as a surprise but it is true. The news is that Windows 7 may be a better player than Vista but it lags behind Windows XP when it comes to battery life consumption on Netbooks.

Laptopmag conducted a test by running Windows 7 on a Toshiba Netbook NB205 and the results were quit surprising. Windows 7 provided just 6 hours of battery life whereas Windows XP provided an impressive 6 hours battery life.This is what Laptopmag stated:

When we ran our standard battery test on the Toshiba NB205 under Windows 7, it lost more than 3 hours. Under XP it got an amazing 9 hours and 24 minutes, but with Windows 7 it only lasted for 6 hours and 15 minutes. Installing new Win 7 drivers from Toshiba only resulted in an extra half hour or so (6:53). We also noticed a bit of a drop-off with another netbook we tested: the MSI U123. This time it was less dramatic: 8:14 in XP vs. 7:41 in Win 7.

Seems like Windows 7 needs to buck up to Windows Xp because Windows 7 Browser speed is also less compared to Windows Xp. After all there is some reason why this saying is famous - "Old is Gold" :) Image Credit : BeingManan

How to Shut Down your PC faster! : Tricks you need to know

My friends are very impatient. Once had my friend playing some games on my PC along with me. I just went out of the room to attend a call and i told my friend to shut down the PC before leaving. As soon as he Clicked Shut down and then waited for 30 seconds and switched the whole System off. Now you know, if you don't properly shut down you PC thousands of problems can arise.

So i found out the Whole thing is that my ShutDown Speed is too low. So here's what i did to increase it! Simply follow our 3 simple steps!

Go to >> start menu , then select run and type "regedit"
then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > System >CurrentControlSet > Control.
Look on the right and open waittokillapptimeout or waittokillservicetimeout (depends on which OS you are using) and in the values type 1000 (Which stands for 1 Sec) and press ok.
Now your pc will shutdown faster!

So actually what did we do? We simply changed the values of time taken to shut down in the Registry from a higher value to just 1 sec. So this will Accelerate your Shut Down Speed.
