Vodafone : The Worst Mobile Service Provider that just sucks

Random — By Monik on October 18, 2009 at 12:33 pm

vodafoneVodafone is the worst Cellphone service provider i have ever dealt with.

You might have heard about the Caller Tune Stuff? Yes, the one where the caller gets to listen the song when he calls the other person. Here’s what happened with me Today.

About 2 hours back i received a Text Message with the Following Contents,

As Per your Request Caller Tune has been activated on your Vodafone mobile phone. Rs. 30 will be deducted as monthly rental. To deactivate send CT to 144 (Toll Free)

What the hell? I never ever called them up or sent any message to put up any caller tune. When i was thinking about this i got another message which made to go haywire, really. Just read it.

“Pardesia Mr Natwarlal’ has been set as your Caller Tune for 90 Days for all Caller. To Search for more caller tunes sms song/movie name to 55655 (free)

Now let me rip it apart.

  1. Never did i Ask for any of their kind services.
  2. Instead of deducting Rs. 30 they deducted a hell lot of money, and now my Balance is around -35 bucks. So i don’t think cutting off Rs 74 was a good idea.
  3. It says, canceling the Caller Tune is Toll free. First of all the song, Natwarlal watever is so sick. I wanted to cancel it off, which i can’t because my service is bared, and as far as i read it did mention somewhere it was Toll Free, Correct?
  4. Not just 30 Days, but the caller tune has been set for 90 days so for 3 months, people will make fun of. Good.
  5. When i call up Vodafone Customer Care, first off i get some Machine telling me “You Service is Bared…. bla bla..” After several attempts i am able to make it up to some guy, who asks me to call in the morning.
  6. What Piece of shit is this exactly? I can’t Call anyone. When people call me they get to hear some 1995 song?

I need to say, Vodafone service just sucks. Well, this post is not just for me but for so many people who are facing the problem but can’t have a say. Not just 1 person, if we calculate even if they do such things to 1000 people they make good money out of it. This is just so sick.

And not this one problem. Drop calls are the biggest problems too. I wonder how much money they make by such things.

My Message to Vodafone -

If Your Listening, you probably know how much your service sucks. If it goes this way users will get fed up of your services soon. Your Service sucks.

Anyone else having such experiences? Share it in the comment to make your voice heard.

Note : I’ll Keep you guys updated on what’s happening with this matter.

dude xactly same thing happened 2 me 2months back and they cutted my 60 buck it really does suxxxxxxx!!!!!!!!!
  • lol
  • I never liked Vodafone. I only use the campus card now to call on 1 number at 10p which is dirt cheap! I'm sticking with my Airtel which doesn't spam me with crap if I tell them not to. Your best deal would be to visit the Vodafone Gallery and give that fucker sitting on the desk a yell. I did this when they deducted like 150 bucks for calling on the 10p number. They said that I added "+91" before the number which made the call charges Re 1/min. Moral of the story? Vodafone has ALOT of catches! They might have called you with the caller tune recorded message and you might have answered it lol..maybe?

But anyway, if any of such services get activated automatically on my Airtel, I get a refund within 10 mins :)

Sad to hear that Monik. I hope you get this fixed asap. This post if funny, going to share it everywhere :P
  • After this, may it be anywhere i don't think i am still going to remain on Vodafone GR.....
  • I hate Vodafone too - I changed to Docomo - and intend to use this new number as my permanent number - i changed my plan to keep the transition easy on my pocket - i used to have bills worth 5k odd per month.. now they are down to about 1.5k since a lot of calls still have to happen from there... but DOCOMO is good and reliable...
  • vodafone has been givin me better network coverage and customer care execs seemed more intelligent than of other providers... but
    1. customer care is very hard to reach
    2. bills are ridiculous... no flexibility for high usage users.. (i got bill as high as 18k for a month)
    3. no EDGE

so i turned onto Docomo.. and all three things are resolved.. except that docomo customer execs are the dumbest i came across so far
  • Hmm... yes Vodafone is a very disappointing service provider. Around five months ago they harassed me to activate the GPRS on my xperia. They just didn't have the setting and even after like a zillion calls I had to do it myself.

And their customer care guys are really dumb and never seem to understand the problem properly.

I am stickig with them as there are truck loads of people who have my number, once we can switch providers without loosing our numbers - this December - I will surely switch.

    Keep us posted Monik.
  • Now i know, I am not alone.
  • mahafreed
    hahahah pardesiya mr natwarlal

  • no it's not. Not at all.
